Tilden San Roque is an emerging artist practicing on unceded Eora, Tharawal and Dharug Land. His work explores his own perception of personal subconscious and conscious experiences. Using his own photographic practice as references, Tilden renders these moments that make up the subconscious and conscious visual stimuli of his personal "objective" reality. Using acrylic on plywood, Tilden constructs pictures into rough unprepared surfaces, pulling images out of the mud of perception. Rendered in post impressionist gesture.
