Archy Obradovic, a Sydney/Eora-based artist, creates multifaceted paintings, inspired by a simultaneous connection with the built, natural and spiritual world. These dynamic environments are endlessly fascinating for Archy, this can be seen in his use and exploration of contrasting material, texture, and pattern. Thus, propelling himself into the landscape shaped by social, political, and environmental shifts. Furthermore, his passionate beliefs that the act of creating, with its inherent nature of giving, educating, and sharing, initiates a life long journey filled with curiosity.

As a surfer and lover of nature, growing up in a small town on the Central Coast of NSW, Archy harnessed his observational skills. From a young age learning to watch the weather rolling over the bush and ocean, finding his way back to shore through rough surf or navigating his way through the bush to get home.

Combining his childhood, its imagination and new inner city identities Archy offers viewers an opportunity to discover and share glimpses of his experiences, weaving metaphorically and physically in his work, the intricate web of connections between himself and the world, much like the interplay of contrasts found in each painting.
