Buster Allanson, also known as Isabella Allanson, born in 2000 on the Central Coast of NSW, is a multidisciplinary artist who currently lives and practices in Eora/ Sydney. Her work investigates the everyday and everydayness evolving into the idea of touch and space, comfort and discomfort, the appealing and uncanny. What do we as humans like to surround ourselves with why, and how much or how little distance do we want between us and someone else? Buster’s works depict images of self and objects that relate to herself to convey themes of spatial relation. Buster creates large-scale bitmapped images screen-printed onto painted plywood. Her practice engages with the viewer's response and how the artwork makes them feel when nearby.
