Ben Fayle, explores memory, nostalgia, and life's fleeting nature through his painting. His work melds hyper-realism with ambiguity. Play-doh was used to create abstract compositions, cropping them to provoke individual interpretations. He later turned to decaying flowers, coating them in black and yellow enamel paint, making them abstract and reflective. He divides his works into panels, encouraging viewers to engage with segments at their own pace. Ben has been in notable shows such as 40 under 40 Art Prize (Sketch Co. Gallery Surry Hills); STILL (Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery); EMSLA (Project Contemporary ArtSpace Wollongong); and Art Express (The Armoury Sydney Olympic Park and Grafton Art Gallery).
