Ash's work explores both private and public spaces, physical and metaphysical, in mind and in body.
The central theme expands on the history of storytelling, and the complexity to characters, such archetypes that one used to relate to in order to understand greater life. Mythic heroes often had a duality to their character which while accepted as part of their ‘human’ condition in the past this acceptance has all but been swept away by today’s increasingly polarised world. Seen when Dionysus the God of wine and folly, invites the viewer to partake in a night of debauchery leaving the audience to begin their journey of moral questioning.
Through her works she aims to reignite human consciousness, fantasy, imagination, tolerance of human imperfection, and the delight in simple pleasures.
