Lily Downs is a multidisciplinary artist living and working on Gadagal Land practicing within the parameters of printed media, video art and printmaking. With a focus on the body and the impact of mental health as a key area of understanding, Downs references the psychological state through repetitive functions of the body concerned with the everyday. Using herself as the primary subject for investigation, Downs references her body as a conduit between physicality and mental states, where repetitive cycles of mundanity are an influence on the outcome of both.
