Eva is drawn to connections from the past. Growing up in a house of collectors, she amassed her own archives of found objects from an early age and these provide endless inspiration in her works. She is drawn to eclectic objects with character which she uses to create narratives in her art. Over the last two years, a discarded photograph album on the streets of Darlinghurst prompted a study of what is visible and the invisible in a captured moment.

Eva explores works in a range of mediums and her work alternates between painting and sculpture, sometimes combining the two. Observing the details, she works intuitively building a relationship with her subject and materials, making emotional connections with the subject as she works, then manipulates context to build her own interpretation.
