I’ve really come to enjoy the space which joins the gentle with the visceral. I’ve found comfort within this discomfort and have decided that they’re not opposing ideas where something is either gross Or beautiful, and try to make work which balances them at once. I use the body as a vessel for this merging as it’s an object so injected with meaning, categorised into what it is to be attractive and, separately, what it is to be foul.
