 Alice Martin is a multi-disciplinary artist who resides and works in Eora/Sydney. Her work examines the complexities of memory and she uses material investigations to uncover nostalgia and collective memory that objects hold and can evoke. Her works primarily focus on the cultural history and memory in the domestic objects that surround us of the ordinary lived human experience. Her works primarily use wax, casting and found objects to create veiled barriers and unearth spectral qualities which highlight the absences in memory and the fragments we fill in and piece together, shaped by personal experiences.

Alice holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School and a Bachelor of Design from UNSW and also studied at NSCAD, Nova Scotia. Her works are held in the collections of Curtain University, RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and University of Southern Queensland.
